Nope. I tend to pity them and feel very sorry for them. I was angry for a little while, but I chose to move on. I hate having that angry feeling just eating at me day in and day out, in any relationship. I belive they do what they do because in their heart they truely believe it is the right thing to do. They do not know any better. I pity them.

Thank you for your suggestions on letting go. I agree with you 100%. We can't move forward if we continue to go backwards. Too many people tend to hold on to the past and it becomes their eternal hell. Some want to desperately let go, but just do not know how. Personally, I strive to find peace in my life and I will continue to pave the way so I can have peace and happiness. Peace and happiness does not just happen......we individually have to make it happen.

confused and disfellowshipped
by daddysgirl inhello, ive been disfellowshipped for being with my boyfriend who is a witness also, i'm sad and dont know what to do now, so ive been looking around for answers, and found this site.
i don't want to go back because the people i thought i loved, the fellow brothers and sisters , didnt seem to care when i was having problems, and i wondered where the "love" was in the organization.
so there is my problem.

Yes, sneaky indeed! I almost felt as though I was being stalked and harassed during my weakest moments....how dare they!!! I am still not sure how they found out I was there and that I was once associated with the JW's.

by Brummie ini was reading something bout bashing the org unfairly...i disagree with doing it to a degree but did you get an unfair bashing by jws after you left?
i was accused of marrying a sister (who i helped to leave at the same time as me), she was twice my senoir and had sons the same age as me...pure lies and gossip.
and i was accused of smoking some drug, and thats why i disassed.

What is your job/career? Like it?
by ashitaka ini'm a deskside support guy working for a service company, at one of their contracts.
i enjoy fixing things, although some of the customers could use a good knock on the skull sometimes.. i make pretty decent money for what i am doing.. for me, it's what i've wanted to do my whole life.
i had a computer from the time i was born, and love it since then.. what do you guys do to bring home the bacon?.

I work in the reception area for our county's Parole & Probation department. I have numerous duties...too much to list. Basically, I'm the one the clients see first before they meet with their PO's. I am also a back-up for the Intake Officer, in which I check for warrants and assign cases to the appropriate P/P Officer according to the client's crime and then I take their "mug" shots. I really like my job, and the pay/benefits are decent. My co-workers are great and a very fun bunch of people. The clients are not the most positive people to be around, but I have more compassion for people since I've worked with Community Corrections. I have learned that a lot of these folks have just made some very bad choices in their life.
I am also currently going to school for Drug and Alcohol Counseling. I hope to be a Counselor/Probation & Parole Officer in the future. I have a lot of support at work, so hopefully this materializes for me.

I faded away in 1999 and have never been contacted by the elders, until..........
This last week when I was at the hospital, on my second day there, I got a phone call from an elder of the local congregation from the town I was in. I have never heard of this elder nor have I ever known a JW from that town! I haven't got a clue where he got my name and how he knew that I was once associated with the JW's. I was so way out of it, that when he asked if he could stop by I said YES!!!
I later realized what I had said so I requested the nurse to not allow visitors unless they were family members or my co-workers. She happily agreed and put a "Stop, See Nurse Before Entering" sign up on my door. This elder continued to stop by twice a day, and every time the nurse told him the same thing....I wasn't up to visitors whom I didn't know. He even brought in a lady with him one day. Fortunately, as she was walking in my room calling out my name (as if she knew me!), the nurse stopped her dead in her tracks and asked her to leave. I was so annoyed at their persistance! At one point, my nurse told me they were sitting in the waiting area and watched as she left my room. The nerve to keep coming around when I was so ill and unable to communicate well after being told I was not up to having visitors. This kind of creeped me out!
It makes me wonder why after all these years, they find me during my weakest moments and start to harass me. Perhaps they wanted to snoop and see if I was taking a blood transfusion? I don't know.....but I found it very very strange!
